atelier
(n.) əˈtel.i.eɪ

an artist or designer’s workshop or studio.

Saint Joan Atelier is a slow fashion studio that tells stories through textiles.

our studio weaves together two strands of circular fashion: thoughtfully curated vintage pieces and slow-made garments handmade with upcycled vintage fabrics.

we collect & create garments that exist outside the boundaries of short-lived trends.

these pieces are for the lover, dreamer & adventurer inside each of us.

Saint Joan atelier is the evolution of many years spent collecting, appreciating & sharing vintage and a lifetime spent sewing and crafting.

currently our focus is on trading at selected markets & festivals, creating small batch clothing for our brick & mortar stockists & hosting non-profit community clothing swaps.

this studio has taken many forms over two decades, from creating custom made pieces, selling online, hosting vintage clothes swaps and pop-up shops, at one time a bricks and mortar location, and vending at markets & events with varying regularity.

we are now in our freest era yet, proudly a travelling shop; emerging at different markets & festivals across the country, unfolding like a glimmering jewel box at each location ~ each time a little different, always magical, before folding back in on itself like an origami until next time.

Saint Joan Atelier is woman-run business based in the
Blue Mountains, Australia.
